Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
We'll have a quiet Thanksgiving Day - Sam is working and I'll be getting ready for Friday. We're going to Clermont/Elgin on Friday and will have Thanksgiving Dinner with The Roberts on Saturday. Krista and the kids will be there on Friday (Ken is on call) - we're having adjoining rooms!! That will be so much fun - can't wait to see them all. We're so looking forward to seeing Stacy, Dave & Karen, Terra & Tony and their new babies, Kinzie & Kylie, and can't forget Katie & Dustin and their kids Dylan and Averi. Can't forget Margaret! It will be so nice to get together with everyone!!
I'm not half way into radiation, and it's kicking my butt. I would say the Chemo was easier than this. I am so tired all the time and it seems to get a little worse every day. The good Dr. says to rest - that's all I can do. There is some tissue soreness and that is getting worse each day, but no burning, which I'm thankful for. Each day seems to be a new challenge. But, it will soon be over and a new, better year will begin.
Please keep our neice & her husband, Steph & Sal in your prayers. Their son, Jaden, was to undergo open heart surgery, but it has been postponed because of infections. Steph is staying at the Ronald McDonal House at the U of MN while Jaden continues to be hospitalized. Sal, Ashley & Ethan are at home in St. Cloud. This is such a stressful time for their family, all prayers are appreciated.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving - enjoy the time spent with your family and loved ones.
Love,
Karen

Karen, thank you for your prayer requests for us to all of those lovely friends and family in your life.
I know this is really hard for you being so tired, but I guess you can think back to when you were a teenager and wished you could just sleep a little longer. Now you can. The best part is you have Dr's. orders. I am sure gma and gpa were not the type to let you sleep in to late. I would guess that from the way dad would never let us sleep in late ;-)
Hope you have a great time with your family. Sending love to you all..
Love, The Gonzalez family

Hi,
It was good to talk to both of you this morning. I am glad that you had a good trip and I feel bad that we couldn't be there, but you don't need or want, what the kids have. Three of them are asleep and Owen got up just before lunch.
Enjoy your day together.
Love you,
Krista

Sounds like Thanksgiving was perfect with all the kids and people you got to see!
As Steph was saying, along with being a teenager again and getting to sleep whenever you want, you also got a tatoo! Every teenagers dream. I think the next teenager you see, you should show them your tatoo, your doctors orders, and then say "nananana-boo-boo" and make a face too while you do it, then just run away giggling. They'll think your crazy but hey it would make you feel better about the whole situation anyway!!
Sorry, I haven't checked in to the site lately (I have been practically sleeping at work cuz it has been sooo busy), but even if I haven't checked in as frequently, you still are always in my prayers.
That was so nice of you to extend Steph & Sal's prayer chain through your prayer chain.
Keep your chin up, even if it's while you are taking a snooze!
